Working with my incredible artist is a dream come true! Bruna Belfort isn’t only a talented individual but also so much fun to work with. She’s professional and always manages to bring the characters that live rent free in my mind onto paper. There is so much that I don’t share on Intagram though! For instance, every time I commission a new character, I send a detailed character presentation to her. In the newsletter I’ll share fun facts about the new characters, sneak peeks of the sketches and lighting scenarios and real life images of how I imagine my babies to look like!

Did you know that I love to draw as well? I used to draw manga when I was a teen. It’s been a while since I drew a comic but there are so many other things I create. In the newsletter you’ll get updates on sketches, character cards, and in-text illustrations for the book.

The Japanese language is a vital part of my novel. I included a huge amount of Japanese words and phrases within the manuscript. In each newsletter I’ll add a new word or one of my favourite sentences. Learn a bit of Japanese with me and dive into the world of Hinomoto - the land of the rising sun.
